Revellers at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel perhaps saw the best fireworks around town as they welcomed 2024. 

The skies lit up with the different kinds of fireworks display which lasted about five minutes, bringing about some kind of excitement amongst the revellers and on-lookers that were around Sheraton. 

Events promoter Balaam Barugahara, in the build-up to the event, had promised the best of fireworks that people in Kampala had ever seen, going on to say they were to resemble those at  US pop star Micheal Jackson’s last birthday. 

Perhaps this was more of an exaggeration as it wasn’t the case, but surely the fireworks were so good that anyone around Kampala would have loved to be part of the group witnessing as it they entered a new year. 

Like many times in the recent past, singer Jose Chameleone ushered the people at the Ug Mix Dance Party at Sheraton into a new year.

Chameleone came to stage five minutes to midnight and just as he sang his Banana song, fireworks lit up Sheraton skies and the audience turned their attention to them. 

The diverted attention, however, didn’t stop his performance as some were seen enjoying the music much more than the fireworks. 

Sheebah Karungi, just like Bebe Cool, didn’t like the set-up, saying the guests were too far away from her. She got off stage and went near them in a bid to ensure they serve them with absolute entertainment. 

Mesach Ssemakula and Karole Kasita are among the other artistes that entertained revellers at Sheraton.
