Rickman kicks off 2024 with album release and charity drive

Rapper Rickman Manrick has anticipated that 2024 will be a year of musical ascension and philanthropy, evident from his impactful start.

The Naki hitmaker kicked off the year with a donation drive in Bakuli, a city suburb, formerly his residence.

Represented by Bryan Morel Publications, Rickman partnered with a poultry supplier  for a groundbreaking collaboration. The initiative saw the donation of over 300 kilogrammes of chicken to the Bakuli community.

In addition to the chicken, the artiste distributed hampers to over 50 families, containing items such as soap, sanitary materials, sugar, cooking oil, bread, posho, rice, clothes, bedding and various household necessities.

The event featured an album listening party with Bexxx A DJ and an open mic showcasing local artistes.

Rickman unveiled his album titled Ndi Muto, featuring tracks such as Born Champion with Joshua Baraka, Abantu, Ghetto Made with Soundlykbb, King Hanny, Ruyonga, Mark Da Urban & Bad Sparksy, among others.

With a tracklist crafted over three years, Rickman aspires to dominate 2024 and attain new peaks in his career.

"The greatest album to ever grace the Ugandan music scene. Put this masterpiece together for over three years," he boasted.

The rapper, initially known for a blend of music and comedy, has endeared himself to many Ugandans with hits like Naki, Bango, Tunyumirwe, Olinamu Obuzibu, and Basumbuyi.
