Filmmakers are set to receive their awards at a celebration organised by the New Vision People's Choice Film Awards, scheduled for today at the New Vision Head offices in Industrial Area, Kampala.
Following the release of the nomination list weeks ago, approximately 54 esteemed filmmakers are expected to grace the red carpet event, which is slated to commence at 4:00pm and will be broadcasted live on Vision Group's Urban TV and other platforms.
This event marks the second edition, following the inaugural one held in 2022, aimed at honouring Ugandan filmmakers who have significantly contributed to the industry over the years.

Expectations are high for a glamorous and stylish event, where filmmakers and attendees alike are anticipated to showcase their fashion sense and artistic contributions. Filmmakers are already gearing up for the event, eagerly hoping to walk away with honours.
