KAMPALA - Revelers turned up in big numbers for singer Irene Namatovu’s much-anticipated show dubbed “Strong Woman”, held at Kampala Serena Hotel.

By 6:00pm., it was already difficult to find parking within the hotel premises, forcing many guests to park along the roads outside the hotel.

At the entrance to the conference hall, accessing the venue became a real challenge as long queues formed, with hundreds of fans eagerly waiting to get inside.

The overwhelming turnout prompted Irene Namatovu to take to the stage at about 8:50 p.m., by which time the hall was already filled to capacity.

The crowds were so large that it was difficult to move in or out of the conference hall, with every available passageway and walkway occupied by her enthusiastic supporters.

The venue’s air conditioning system also struggled to cope with the huge numbers, and several revellers were seen sweating and occasionally stepping outside to get some fresh air before returning to the show.

The highlight of the evening was her hit song “Kuzaala Kujagaana,” during which Namatovu transformed the stage into a traditional home setting for a lively dramatic presentation.

Emmanuel Lwasa played the role of the son-in-law, while Shakira Shakira acted as Irene Namatovu’s daughter.

Their humorous interaction, particularly Lwasa’s behaviour towards Shakira Shakira, left the audience in stitches and added a strong dose of comedy to the performance.

The show also brought together several former members of Eagles Production, creating a memorable reunion for fans of the group.

Among those who attended and supported the event were Meseach Semakula, Catherine Kusasira, Maureen Nantume, Stecia Mayanja, Ronald Mayinja, and several other former members and artistes.
