Having kicked off her cooking marathon in her third attempt to break the Guinness World Record, Mama D (Dorcus Kirabo) received moral support this afternoon (Tuesday, July 7, 2026) from more friends and media personalities.
Velocity Bar and Grill in Kyanja, Kampala, where the cookathon is taking place, played host to a number of happy faces who kept engaging Mama D in conversation and throwing words of encouragement her way.
Each passing day, the venue gets more branding, which adds a bit of colour to some dull moments. Watching a person cook for a long time can be tiring, so the disruption comes in handy. As reported earlier, she received adult diapers yesterday, and everything is now set for a no-break run.

"Mama D has kept to a strict diet so she can keep on her feet for long hours. She has avoided alcohol since Sunday midnight. She is also not allowed to consume any energy drinks," explained one of the people who has been attending the cookathon since Sunday.
Organisers and support staff are working around the clock to ensure the challenge runs smoothly, while visitors continue to arrive to witness the historic cooking attempt. Like the past two attempts, this one is slowly but surely turning into an entertainment event complete with music, dancing and all forms of indulgence. For today's lunch, she prepared rice and meat, which was served to the patrons of the establishment and her supporters.
Supporters have praised Mama D's determination, describing the marathon as an inspiring display of resilience and dedication. Many have expressed hope that the challenge will shine a spotlight on Ugandan cuisine and encourage more young people to pursue careers in the culinary industry.
As the marathon continues, all eyes remain on Mama D, with supporters eagerly awaiting the outcome of what has become one of the country's most talked-about culinary events.
Meanwhile, Rebecca Kenyana (Becky Bakes) will also start her baking marathon at the same venue at midnight. Kenyana also wants to enter the Guinness World Records.
