Mama D set for world record cookathon attempt

All eyes will be on Mama D (Dorcas Kirabo) tonight as she attempts to make history with a 10-day cooking marathon at Velocity Bar and Grill in Kyanja, Kampala.
She is scheduled to begin the challenge at midnight on Monday, in a bid to set a Guinness World Record in the category of the longest cooking marathon.
For days, Mama D has been preparing for the attempt by testing recipes and working closely with the team that will support her throughout the challenge at Velocity Bar and Grill.
She said she is not nervous but excited about the opportunity.
“I can’t wait to hold my certificate,” Mama D said with a big smile, “because this is for every mother who cooks with love even when she’s tired.”
Her menu features a mix of local and international dishes, with all the food prepared during the marathon set to be distributed to communities, students and families.
From midnight, Mama D will remain at the cooking station for 10 consecutive days, preparing meals, interacting with supporters and serving food as officials monitor the record attempt.
