Kream Productions singer Haruna Mubiru is unhappy with the direction of the music being released by today’s artistes, saying it's shaking the foundation of meaningful music they fought to establish.

“I do not know what is wrong with today’s musicians who are releasing songs not worthy of listening. Some artistes such as Gravity Omutujju and Lil Pazo do songs which are obscene that have spoilt our children. We put in a lot of time and effort to build the music foundation that they found well established, but they are busy destroying it. Today’s songs are very bad in both production and content. Musicians are not taking enough time to prepare for delivery. Some of them are not passionate about music. Their aim is becoming celebrities and making money, which is the reason they sing songs which are immoral," the Ekitooke kifa Nsalira singer stated.

He revealed that a few days ago, he heard his son singing an obscene song.

"I asked his mother where he could have got the words from and she told me it is a song by  an artiste called Lil Pazo, which annoyed me so much," the 45-year-old said while speaking in an interview on Bukedde TV 2’s Vibe Mix show on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Haruna said during their time, they considered the talent.

"All musicians of our days are talented unlike today’s musicians who sing like frogs," he said.

"You cannot compare my music with these songs of today’s artistes, which last for two days. It’s the reason why they are poor. No corporate company can trust them with business. We made a lot of money because we put in time and delivered exactly what people referred to as content that added value to their lives. Our music united marriages and made people put into practise the message therein unlike today’s music," Haruna said.

Haruna has, therefore, asked the Government to ban music and musicians who release immoral music.

"I call upon the Government to rescue the country from immorality, which is likely to end the future of the leaders of tomorrow by banning all vulgar songs. If the artistes does not change, they can also be banned from singing until they reform," Haruna said.

In 2015, singer Jemimah Kansiime aka Panadol Wa'basajja served time in jail over an immoral song.
