Reforms: Government to merge UNEB with NCDC

The two institutions, established during president Idi Amin’s regime (NCDC) 42 years ago and Dr Milton Obote’s regime (UNEB) 52 years ago, cemented Uganda’s efforts to break away from East Africa and enabled the country to develop internal capacity away from the British syllabus and the East African Examinations Board (EAEB), respectively. 

The new building that houses UNEB offices in Kyambogo, Kampala. UNEB conducts and manages examinations in Uganda for the end of the educational cycle at primary and secondary school levels.

KAMPALA - The Government has finalised plans to merge the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) with the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), New Vision has learnt.
