Princess Nabaloga commissions construction of new complex for Muteesa Royal University
The function is part of the activities of the 33rd coronation anniversary of Kabaka Mutebi II, which is under the theme "Fortitude as we promote our cultural values".

Princess Royal Agnes Nabaloga, sister of Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II of Buganda, has commissioned the construction of the six-storied complex of Buganda Kingdom's Muteesa I Royal University in Kampala.
While addressing the gathering on Tuesday, July 27, Princess Nabaloga applauded Kabaka Mutebi II for always initiating projects that spur the well-being of his subjects and Ugandans at large.
"This development is a sign of intent to promote education standards, which is one of the ways that will enable the social development of the Kingdom," said Princess Nabaloga.
She also urged the public to put much emphasis on promoting the Luganda language, saying it will be one of the ways to preserve culture,
"It has a conference centre that will accommodate 1,000 users; equipped with modern audiovisual technology, professional sound systems, digital projection facilities, high-speed Internet connectivity, wireless microphones, among others," said Nakate, whose ministry oversees education development in the kingdom.
The building will also have lecture rooms that can accommodate 100 students on different floors.
Dignitaries at the events included: Ministers Dr Anthony Wamala (Culture & Tourism) and Robert Sserwanga, Minister for Youth, Sports and Arts. University Council Members led by its Chairperson Dr Mulindwa Kasozi, senior members of the University Management.

The ground- breaking function was twinned with a public lecture to mark the 33rd coronation anniversary delivered by Dr Ronald Mulondo (PhD, Ed).
The function is part of the activities of the 33rd coronation anniversary of Kabaka Mutebi II, which is under the theme "Fortitude as we promote our cultural values".
The main coronation anniversary celebrations will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Watoto Church in Bweyogerere, Kira Division, Wakiso District, all found in the kingdom's Kyadondo County.
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II was enthroned as the 36th king of Buganda on July 31, 1993, at Naggalabi coronation grounds in Buddo, Kyengera Town Council in Wakiso District, all located in the kingdom's Busiro County.
