Despite the importance of the term, many parents said they were financially constrained and could not immediately meet the demands from schools. Parents interviewed complained that schools had turned the third term into a fundraising season, demanding not only school fees and additional charges for mock examinations, music, dance and drama (MDD) and farewell parties.
Parents are now calling on the Government to regulate school fees and requirements once and for all.
