Headteachers from different schools in Mbarara City braved the morning downpour today (October 12) to collect Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination papers and materials from Mbarara Central Police station. The exercise kicked off as early as 8:00am and it was headed by Godfrey Birungi, the Uganda Examination Board Mbarara City area supervisor and coordinator.
Addressing headteachers, Birungi commended them for turning up on time to collect examination materials. Headteachers without private vehicles were seen jumping on bodabodas equipped with umbrellas to shield papers from the heavy rains, which started early morning.
Birungi cautioned them against engaging in examination malpractice. He also urged them to man their examination centres and report any challenges they face.
