Inside govt's new rules for school boards

Effective next year, all members serving on either of the organs will be required to have at least a degree qualification and must have performed management roles before, according to the proposed amendments to the Education Act, 2008. 

Furthermore, private school owners will not be permitted to be involved in the daily running of school activities; they must recruit professionals to do so. (File Photo)
