Female celebrities treated to Women's Day fete

On Friday, March 8, there was pomp, glitz and glamour as Talent Africa Foundation organised a give-back fete for inspirational women in the fields of art, music, media, fashion, and business. The colourful event was held in Kololo, a Kampala suburb. 

The International Women's Day celebration, which commenced at 4:00pm, was hosted by Sylvia Namutebi Alibhai - one of Talent Africa Group bosses.

Alibhai hosted and moderated a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring prominent female figures such as media personality Flavia Tumusiime, musicians Hellen Lukoma, and Joanita Kawalya among others. 

The panel discussed various ways through which the younger generation of women in the business and creative sectors can curve their own paths to success, fostering a future of stronger and more empowered women.

In line with the day's theme of inclusivity, guests adorned themselves in a touch of pink, symbolising solidarity and support for women's rights and empowerment. The ambiance was vibrant and celebratory, with performances by talented female artistes like Sandra Nansambu, Kawalya and a host of other female artistes, captivating the audience with their exceptional talents.

The star-studded event, had very influential faces sharing light moments and sipping away oncocktails. The guests included musicians like Pia Pounds, Nina Roz, Rachael Ray, Sheebah Karungi, Lillian Mbabazi, Ava Peace, Karole Kasita and actresses like Ellah Nantumbwe, Hellen Lukoma, and Eleanor Nabwiso. Media personalities included Zahara Toto and Malaika Nyanzi. 

The invite-only event provided a rare opportunity for the guests to engage in meaningful conversations, network with like-minded individuals, and collectively reaffirm their commitment to advancing the cause of women's rights and gender equality.

At the height of the night, each guest walked away with Women's Day gift hamper.
