KAMPALA - The Umeme counter led decliners on the Uganda Securities Exchange on Tuesday (July 7), dropping more than 3% of its share price value to close the session at sh63 per share from an opening price of 65.
The stock traded a volume of 724,800 shares at 63, with sellers offering 275,200 shares at that level, according to market data from Crested Capital.
Airtel Uganda was among the gainers, rising 0.62%, to close at 163 on volume of 5,500 shares. The counter opened at sh162 with buyers quoted at 3,600 shares.
MTN Uganda edged lower by 0.10%, to 425.01 per share during the session. It recorded volume of 48,310 shares. Bid came in at sh86,100 shares at sh425 per share and offers at 2,000 shares at sh426.
Stanbic Holdings closed flat at 78 per share after trading 43,545 shares, supported by strong bids of 416,800 shares at sh78 per share against offers of 574,300 shares at 80 per share.
Several other counters, including BATU, BOBU, DFCU, NIC, New Vision, QCIL and UCL, recorded no price changes, with many seeing no deals.
