The Uganda shilling closed the year at 3615/3625, holding steady at Wednesday’s opening levels.

The closing rate during the session represents a 2.05% appreciation for 2025 against the dollar. Richard Nsubuga, a market analyst, said the currency's performance shows its resilience throughout the year.

At Wednesday's session, traders said balanced flows from both hard currency buyers and sellers shaped the day’s trading.
