Minister Musasizi opens 10th High-Level Economic Growth Forum

The objective of the Forum is to generate practical, evidence-based policy proposals that will inform the FY 2026/27 National Budget and the medium-term policy agenda, with a view to accelerating the implementation of Uganda's Tenfold Growth Strategy.

The Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Henry Musasizi, has opened the 10th High-level Economic Growth Forum, which brings together stakeholders including Government ministries, development partners, the private sector, and civil society to discuss the state of the economy and what needs to be prioritised in the national budget for the next financial year. 

Opening the conference today (Thursday) in the morning at Sheraton, Musasizi, partnerships remain critical in attaining the Tenfold Growth Strategy of driving Uganda’s economy to over $500b in the shortest time possible.

The Ministry, together with the International Growth Centre, organised the forum under the theme: "Realising Uganda's Tenfold Growth Strategy in a Rapid Changing Global Economy."

"The forum today will offer us a better platform to discuss how to attain the Tenfold Growth Strategy and also how to deal with shocks arising from global tensions," Musasizi stated.

The objective of the Forum is to generate practical, evidence-based policy proposals that will inform the FY 2026/27 National Budget and the medium-term policy agenda, with a view to accelerating the implementation of Uganda's Tenfold Growth Strategy.

Speakers at the Forum include Local and International Researchers, Academia, Private-Sector Practitioners, development partners, and government officials.
