Nyabushozi County Member of Parliament, Wilson Kajwengye, has challenged university students to identify challenges that affect society and get solutions for them.
"You should remain focused on your courses until successful completion because you're expected to identify challenges that affect society and get solutions for them. That's why you're studying to add value to the development agenda of this country," Kajwengye who is also House committee chairperson for Defence and internal affairs said.
He made the remarks on Monday May 6, 2024, while interfacing with university students who hail from Kiruhura and Kazo and launched their umbrella association of Kiruhura -Kazo Interuniversity Mbarara Students Association.
The universities in association are: Mbarara University of Science and technology, Bishop Stuart University, Makerere Business school Mbarara branch.
The MP congratulated Daisy Arinda Kankiriho, Guild President-elect MUST.
He implored member of the association to be the champions of environmental care by planting and growing trees to maturity, cleaning the environment of plastics and polythene, among others.
He encouraged them to continue with outreach programmes to their former schools and inspire their young brothers and sisters aim higher, preach against child marriages still rampant in the society.
He advised students to stay healthy, the only sure way to being useful to society.
