Police name children killed in Dokolo car crash

Three children were killed on the spot, while a 59-year-old woman later succumbed to her injuries at Dokolo Health Center IV.

The crash occurred on the Dokolo-Kaberamaido road, shortly after Dokolo Primary School, involving a saloon car driven by Moses Awira, the head teacher of Aputi Secondary School in Amolatar District.

DOKOLO - The police have released detailed information regarding the victims of a tragic incident that claimed the lives of three school children and an elderly woman in Dokolo Town Council on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on the Dokolo-Kaberamaido road, shortly after Dokolo Primary School, involving a saloon car driven by Moses Awira, the head teacher of Aputi Secondary School in Amolatar District.

Awira, who is reported to be a person with a disability, lost control of the vehicle at Alokiri cell hitting a group of pupils. 

Three children were killed on the spot, while a 59-year-old woman later succumbed to her injuries at Dokolo Health Center IV.

Two other pupils sustained severe injuries.
