The MK Army Movement has launched its Busoga chapter leadership structure in Jinja city.

The event, which happened on Wednesday and attracted hundreds of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba's supporters from different districts that make up Busoga region, was held at Mpumudde Playground in Jinja southern division.

Prior to the event at Mpumude, supporters of MK (Kainerugaba) were led in a procession around the city by the movement's national vice-chairperson for Western Uganda, Balaam Barugahara, national chairperson Michael Mawanda (Igara East MP) and Vice-chairperson for Busoga Moses Balyeku.

MK enthusiasts, who included bodaboda riders, donned yellow t-shirts bearing Kainerugaba's portrait as they passed through Jinja town, while chanting songs that praise him.

Barugahara commended the team for their efforts and encouraged them to continue mobilising support for Kainerugaba.

He said the MK Army Movement is establishing structures in every part of the country.

Balaam said Balyeku will be deputised by three chief co-ordinators: 

Johnson Mubiito in charge of the districts of Kamuli, Kaliro and Buyende,

Richard Mbaziira for greater Jinja and Meddie Mulumba for Luuka, Iganga, Bugweri, Namutumba and Bugiri.

He added that they also unveiled Busoga regional co-ordinators headed by Docus Kagweri and Fiona.

Balaam further said that they will organize a main rally in Jinja to which MK will be invited and will also organise various activities like bulungi bwa nsi that will be done in the course of the day.

He thanked President Yoweri Museveni and the Minister for Presidency for allowing all RDCs from the districts of Busoga to come and attend their function saying it has motivated them and they will work with RDCs to improve security in their districts and also do sensitization on government development programmes.
