RUKUNGIRI - An angry woman has chopped off his husband's manhood after suspecting him of marrying a second wife.
The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate has identified the suspect as Milly Kobusingye, 40, a resident of Bikurungu town cell, in Central ward, Rukungiri district.
He said that as soon as she succeeded in her mission, she fled to an unknown destination.
On realising that he had lost his manhood, the victim quickly entered into his vehicle and drove up to Nyakibare hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Preliminary police investigations have established that the couple has been involved in domestic violence over the issue of the purported second wife for some time.
"Exhibits of a knife with bloodstains have been recovered in the couples' bedroom as we embark on man-hunt for the suspect who is still in hiding," said Police.
Police have so far recorded statements from the children of the couple and other immediate neighbours as investigations into the matter continue.
