KAMPALA - The Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga, has revealed that opposition political parties plan to engage the NRM party to review the electoral laws to curb election violence as witnessed in the last general elections.

This was revealed as the Opposition in Parliament met a delegation from the European Union at Parliament to deliberate on a number of issues pertaining governance and democracy.

Mpuuga said that there's a need for all political actors to deliberate on how the electoral commission can be empowered to independently handle the electoral process.

The European Union ambassador to Uganda Attilio Pacifici who led the delegation of ambassadors pledged to partner with the opposition on a number of issues.
