A total of 15 Police officers have been deployed to serve under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.

The officers according to the Uganda Police Force director of operations, SCP John Nuwagira, successfully completed the requirements for this deployment.

“The officers shall represent the Uganda Police Force in various assignments serving on contract for one year under United Nations Mission in South Sudan,” he said.

Nuwagira said while in South Sudan, the officers shall participate as experts in several fields including training, community policing, gender, CID, operations, among other roles.

Nuwagira together with a team from Interpol shared their experiences on missions and urged the officers to represent the Police and the country very well.

“Be patriotic and uphold the force with integrity,” he urged the officers.
