Uganda Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Cornwell Muleya, said the airline was ready to start flights from Entebbe to Kinshasa.

Muleya also noted that all measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 are in place. He said the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) put in place by the government are being to the dot.

He said the Uganda Airline will have three flights to DRC. Muleya asked Ugandans and Congolese to support the airline.

Uganda Airlines was adversely affected after the breakout of the coronavirus in March and the lockdown that followed.

After the lockdown was eased, Entebbe International Airport resumed commercial passenger flights on October 1, 2020, ending at least five months of lockdown occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.

With the lockdown lifted, Uganda Airlines also resumed operation. It is now over two months.
