At exactly 11:00am on a sunny Tuesday morning, the bikers set off from Mityana district en route to Kyegegwa district for the second day of their 400km journey.

The 12 men are cycling from Kampala to Bundibugyo to raise awareness on gender-based violence in Uganda, as part of the 16 Days of Activism international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls.

Before they started off in Mityana, where they had camped for the night for the first pitstop, the riders had a briefing from the team doctor and had a drinks refill.

Bluetooth speakers were set, headphones plugged in and shades slapped, before pedalling off!
