NRM vows to recapture Kampala in next polls

National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag-bearers for MPs and all Local Government administrative units on Friday, converged at Kololo Ceremonial ground to drum up support in Kampala.



The over 500 delegates led by NRM vice chairperson for Buganda, Godfrey Kiwanda and other top party members, Singh Katongole, Betty Kamya and Salim Uhuru among others danced to what they called a sure win.



"We are tired of the opposition leading Kampala using funds provided by the NRM to enrich themselves. This must stop. We are in government and Kampala should be in the hands of NRM," a female NRM councilor said.

"We are fed up of opposition enslavement in Kampala," former Attorney General Fred Ruhindi said.

 

Others were candidates: Margaret Zziwa (Nakawa West), Fred Rundi (Nakawa East), Faridah Nambi (Kampala woman MP), Cedric Babu (Kampala Central) and Tom Kasenge Amon others.
