Peace Proscovia's extends Lightning contract

The main aim is to get her team back to the major league.

Peace Proscovia has extended her contract with Sunshine Coast Lightning following her sides run to the play-off semifinals.

"It is with great honour that I sign on with Lightning for another year, playing on the Sunshine Coast has given me the opportunity to learn so much and to improve my netball," the She Cranes captain said.

Proscovia and South African goalkeeper Phumza Maweni impressed Lightning coach Kylee Byrne and will get another opportunity to help Lightning win their third Suncorp Netball title.

"Peace and Phumza have taken real strides since joining our club, embracing the professionalism and lift in standards required to thrive in the competition," Byrne said.

Proscovia showed elements of what she can bring to the table with her standout performance in the preliminary final.

The Ugandan is ready to go when called upon and the main aim is to get her team back to the major league.
