At Makerere University, hand washing points have been placed at all points of entry, at colleges and halls of residence.

Lectures have resumed at Makerere University after institutions of learning were temporarily closed in March, as one of the measures to prevent COVID-19 in Uganda.

During one of his addresses to the nation, President Yoweri Museveni gave a green light to institutions of learning to open doors for candidate classes and finalists.

On Thursday, October 15, schools that were certified to resume classes started receiving learners with strict instructions on following Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) in order to operate.

At Makerere University, hand washing points have been placed at all points of entry, at colleges and halls of residence.

Still at the university, students are seen clad in facemasks and observing social distancing inside lecture rooms.

Every student is expected to register their names and contacts at the university's main gate.
