Generally, Uganda does not have coaches and umpires to deal with age groups

With the relaxation of the lockdown has come the implementation of some plans for Netball Africa vice president for development Susan Anek.

Through her docket, Netball Africa will conduct a training course for two umpires and two coaches.

"There will be a training of umpires and coaches, we have some money on Africa level that we want to train two umpires and two coaches within the central region. It will be a physical course, not a scientific one," she told the New Vision.

In an earlier interview, Netball Africa president Cecilia Molokwane had encouraged umpiring courses and coaching courses online but with the rules relaxed, the courses can be conducted in person.

Two people will be trained per position to enable them to serve both junior and senior levels in coaching and umpiring.

"We shall train two, coaches because one will help in the youth team while one deals with the senior team. We shall do a training meeting workshop for them," Anek explained.

Generally, Uganda does not have coaches and umpires to deal with varying age groups but this will enable more efficiency and effectiveness for UNF.
