President Yoweri Museveni, Thursday, replaced Internal Security Organisation (ISO) Director, General Col. Kaka Bagyenda, with Lt. Col. Charles Oluka.
Security Minister, Gen. Elly Tumwine, confirmed changes at the spy agency but declined to discuss further details.
"There have been changes but they will be communicated at the right time," Tumwine said.
Museveni also dropped long serving Deputy, Major. Frank Banana and replaced him with Lt. Emmy Katabazi who has been ISO's head of media.
Kaka was appointed to head ISO in January 2017 replacing Brig. Ronnie Balya.
Kaka's departure comes in the wake of a bitter split between ISO and Chieftaincy of Military intelligence (CMI) after they raided his safehouse and arrested several suspects that were in detention.
It is alleged that some of the suspects were implicated in the murder of the late Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kawesi.
It also comes in wake of accusations leveled on ISO which is accused of doctoring fake intelligence.
In July this year, Kaka effected changes at ISO and dropped several senior directors including Capt. Fred Kwesiga, the Director Economic Affairs.
