Ragga Dee wins NRM ticket to join Kampala Lord Mayor's show

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) electoral commission has officially announced veteran musician Ragga Dee (Daniel Kazibwe) as the party flagbearer for the Kampala lord mayoral seat.

Ragga Dee beat Kizito Ssebaana with 56,877 votes representing 78.19%. 

Ssebaana scored 15,939 representing 21.9%.

The commissioner for the NRM electoral commission, Jane Alisemera Babiiha, said they were forced to do a recount for the following a petition by Ssebaana who had claimed being cheated.

Unfortunately for Ssebaana, on recounting, still Ragga Dee emerged the winner.

Ragga Dee will be contesting for this same seat for the second time and will now face the incumbent Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, and fellow musician Jose Chameleone among others.
