POLITICS   2021 ELECTIONS

Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, the Lubaga Division Mayor, has been appointed the Acting Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)Party President.

The decision to appoint Ssebugwawo follows a Party Constitutional obligation that required the current President Patrick Oboi Amuriat to step aside as he competes with Party Chairman Amb. Wasswa Biriggwa for the FDC Party Presidential flagship 2021.

Ssebugwawo will preside over the Party until Primaries for Presidential flag bearer are held.

Earlier today, Amuriat returned his nomination forms for the position of Party Presidential flag bear at Party Headquarters Najjanankumbi, Kampala.

Amb Biriggwa will also be nominated to compete for the Party flag to run for President of Uganda.
