Victoria University gets new chancellor

Victoria University has appointed Prof. John Opuda-Asibo as the new chancellor.
Prof. Opuda-Asibo was sworn on Monday at the main campus in Kampala. He becomes the third chancellor of the University.
"He joins the university at a critical moment and brings to bear his expertise, wide-rach, experience, and knowledge that will ensure that the University remains a top private institution in Uganda," the university said in a statement.
Who is Prof. Opuda-Asibo
He is a graduate of veterinary medicine from Makerere University. He also holds a Masters Degree in Public Health and a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Epidemiology and Public Health, both from the University of Minnesota, USA.
His Public Health training has provided him with multi-sectoral knowledge application in Epidemiology ( observational and analytical), Administration, Economics, Education, and Governance.
