WAKISO - The Wakiso National Resistance Movement (NRM) village chairpersons have received their bicycles that President Yoweri Museveni donated to them recently.

The bicycles are part of the 68, 000 that Museveni fagged off last week to aid the mobilization activities by the NRM party in villages across the country in the 2021 General Elections.

Handing over the bicycles to respective chairpersons at the district headquarters, Rose Kirabira, the Wakiso district Residence Commissioner (RDC) cautioned the latter not to sell the given bikes but use them to do the party work.

"These bicycles are yours, use them to ease the mobilization, don't sell them off and don't change their yellow colour paint," Kirabira said.

She revealed that they received 720 bicycles and were to be distributed to 720 villages that make up Wakiso district, adding each village chairperson was to get a bike.

Hajji Abdul Kiyimba, the Mayor, Kyengera Town Council, who also doubles as the NRM chairperson in Wakiso district urged the chairs to use the bicycles to run party activities.
