Museveni appoints Owiny-Dollo for Chief justice

State House sources Thursday evening confirmed President Yoweri Museveni had written to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga nominating Justice Alfonso Owiny-Dollo and Supreme Court Judge Richard Buteera.
Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo is the new nominee for the position of the Chief Justice, deputized by Supreme Court Judge Richard Buteera.
State House sources Thursday evening confirmed President Yoweri Museveni had written to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga nominating the two for the position after the Chief Justice's position remained vacant on June 20 after the occupant of the office Justice Bart Katureebe retired.
