Sarah Kanyike appointed minister

Former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) deputy lord mayor, Sarah Kanyike, has been appointed minister for Disability and  Elderly, New Vision, has learnt.

According to a letter dated July 23 ,2020, signed by clerk to Parliament G.Wabwire, Kanyike, is expected to appear before the appointment Committee of Parliament on Tuesday, July 28, at 10am.

Her new appointment comes barely a month after she was appointed Director for Gender and Social Services at KCCA.

Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago quickly replaced her with the Makerere University Councillor Diana Nyanjura, who now serves as deputy lord mayor.
