More aspirants pick NRM nomination forms

KAMPALA - On Wednesday, a number of political figures made their way the head offices of the National Resistance Movement party to pick nomination forms as they prepare to contest for some of the top positions in the ruling party.

One of them was Persis Namuganza, who is in the picture below with the chairman of the party's electoral commission, Dr. Tanga Odoi.



Namuganza picked nomination forms for NRM second vice-chairperson (female).



The state minister for lands knows she is up against the likes of Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, who is also interested in the position.



Meanwhile, Kefa Mafumu made an appearance at Kyadondo to pick nomination forms.



He is interested in the position of NRM first national vice-chairman.



Who picked nomination forms the day before (Tuesday)?

Singh Katongole is vying for NRM vice-chairperson for Kampala, a position currently held by Godfrey Nyakana. Salim Uhuru is also eyeing the same seat.

Incumbent NRM vice-chairperson for northern region Sam Engola is keen on retaining the seat, which has attracted Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah.

Incumbent NRM vice-chairperson for central region Alhaji Abdul Nadduli picked up forms to contest for the same position.

The deputy executive director of Uganda Media Centre, Col. Shaban Bantariza, is eyeing NRM vice-chairperson western region, which is currently occupied by Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza.
