Chameleon, Spice Diana pay last respects to Gen. Ggwanga

At the time of his death, Chameleon’s Baliwa hit song was his favourite song, as he revealed in one of his last interviews before he passed on.

Away from his love for dogs and the army, the late Gen.  Kasirye Ggwanga had a good ear for music, and top on his priority list of musicians was Jose Chameleon. Ggwanga was not only a fan of Chameleon but a close friend of his.

At the time of his death, Chameleon's Baliwa hit song was his favourite song, as he revealed in one of his last interviews before he passed on. Based on this friendship between the two, Jose Chameleon, flanked by Spice Diana and other musicians, drove to Nkene Village, Mityana district to pay his last respects to a fallen soldier.

Arriving in a sombre mood, with silence at Ggwanga's resting grounds, Chameleon approached the grave with flowers, as a gesture of goodbye to his friend.

"Today, I managed to drive through to Nkene Village, Mityana, to pay my last respects to Major General Samuel Wasswa Kasirye Ggwanga. You are gone, but not forgotten. Beyond being a father, friend and fan, I will also remember you for your uncorrupted ways. Rest In Peace, Afande," Chameleon took to social media upon visiting his fallen friend.

He saluted his colleagues in the music industry including Spice Diana, Papa Cidy and Ambasada for accompanying him.
