The Police and Local Defence Unit (LDU) have carried out an operation at Nakulabye, a Kampala suburb and arrested boda boda riders who have been defying the presidential directives of not carrying passengers.

The riders were first given chance to explain and those with genuine reasons like carrying pregnant women and sick people were allowed to proceed.

However, those with lame excuses have been arrested and their boda boda confiscated.
