15-year-old student drowns

ACCIDENT

Merovin Ampumuza, 15, a senior two student who had taken the cattle for grazing was on Friday (today) found dead.

The incident occurred when Ampumuza decided to swim in River Rwakihirwa found in Rwamacum village in Kabale district.

Police retrieved the body and it was taken to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Police say they will later today hand over the body to relatives for burial.

The deceased was a student of St.Barnabas Karujanga and son to Obed Tumwikirize of Kyarugondo village, Kasheregyenyi Parish, Kamuganguzi sub-county in Kabale district.
