Uganda registers two new COVID-19 cases

The ministry revealed that both of the cases are male with one a Ugandan aged 24 and a Burundian aged 21.

KAMPALA - The Ministry of Health, has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 in Uganda. The cases are part of the 299 samples tested among the community and individuals under quarantine.
The ministry revealed that both of the cases are male with one a Ugandan aged 24 and a Burundian aged 21.
"The patients have been put under quarantine at Rakai hospital," the ministry said in a tweet adding that they were contacts of a confirmed Burundian refugee case.

All 1,703 tests from the truck drivers at border points tested negative of the COVID-19. The number of samples that were tested on Wednesday is 2,002.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases stands at 81 with 52 recoveries from the virus and 0 deaths.
