KCCA will welcome back two of their key players as they prepare to take on FUFA Big League side Doves in the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Katusabe Dove Ground in Masindi.

Midfielder Gift Ali and defender Musa Ramathan return to the team from suspension.

However, KCCA won't be with goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, Herbert Achai, Julius Poloto, Mustafa Kizza, Samuel Kato that are currently with the national team (Cranes) preparing for the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) finals slated for early next month in Cameroon.

They will also miss the services of Mike Mutyaba, Muzamiru Mutyaba and John Revita, who are sidelined with injuries.

With the absence of these players, coach Mike Mutebi has promoted Simon Mukisa, Juma Ibrahim, Elvis Mwanje, Pius Ssebulime and Otim Jerome from their junior U17 side to be part of the team that will battle with Doves.

KCCA eliminated Bukedea 2-0 to reach this stage while Doves beat Water 2-1.

Doves are currently bottom in the Rwenzori group of the FUFA Big League with six points from ten matches. They will need to lift their performance if they are to stop KCCA.
