Lorry rams into house, injures three

Three people have been rushed to Nyakibare hospital in critical condition after a speeding lorry Isuzu Elf White in colour, registration number UAS 957R, knocked a motorcycle number UES 841V Bajaj-Boxer Red in colour, on which they were travelling.

The Kigezi Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate, says, the accident occurred at around 1:00pm, at Katobo, along Rukungiri-Kanungu road.

He also identified the victims as Dennis Mugarura, aged 24 years, 20-year-old Chris Mugoya, and 82-year-old Robbinah Kabisyaki, all residents of Nyakahanga village, Kazindiro Parish, Bugangari Sub County in Rukungiri district.

Maate, added that the lorry and motorcycle that got involved in the accident have been impounded and taken to Rukungiri Police as investigations continue vide TAR:05/2020.
