  Sacked coach Simwogerere

As things stand now, all seems grim for Red Eagles who are 13th  in the 16 team race.

They have so far lost 11 times.

That giants KCCA, Vipers, and URA are amongst the Wanukulukuku side's remaining fixtures, does not paint an easy path.

It is not the first time that Express find themselves in such a situation.

In 2018 Express clawed their way to a final game win to survive relation.

Club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka started off the week by sacking coach George Ssimwogerere. He was replaced by yet another of the club's former tacticians Wasswa Bbossa.

Bbossa, who not only played for Express but also coached them in 2014, says he is well aware of the huge task but has promised to deliver.

"All I need is win four of the remaining matches and we shall be safe." Recent statistics show that 33 points are the lifeline in this league.
