Uganda U-20 Women National team coach Oliver Mbekeka is optimistic that despite the late preparations her side will be in good shape to take on Tanzania in the 2020 FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifier between the two sides.

The Ugandan girls will clash with their opponents in the first leg of the qualifier in Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday before the return leg in Kampala on February 1.

"We have started on a low note because it has been a while since we came together, but by the end of the seven days that we will be here, the players will have picked up the needed tactics," Mbekeka said.

This is the second time Uganda is taking part in the FIFA U20 Women World Cup qualifiers. The first appearance in the qualifiers was in 2013 where Uganda registered a tremendous 22-0 aggregate win over South Sudan.

Costa Rica and Panama will host the 2020 FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in August later this year.
