Chinese celebrate New Year

The Chinese community in Uganda, government delegates and well-wishers gathered at the Chinese Embassy Kololo in Kampala on Friday to celebrate the Chinese New year, also referred to as the Spring Festival. The Chinese New Year 2020 falls on January 25 and the festival will run up to February 8. An arts troupe from Sichuan province entertained guests with martial arts, magic, juggling, and face-changing routines. In addition, four guests, selected through raffle draws at the dinner walked away with smart television sets.
