The Deputy President of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Ruto, on Saturday, December 21, 2019, made 53 years. He was born on December 21, 1966.
Unlike his previous birthdays, which he has celebrated in Kenya, this years' birthday celebrations found him in Uganda on official duties.
"This is my first time celebrating my birthday outside Kenya," Ruto said as he laid a foundation stone for the William Ruto Leadership Institute at Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. With nothing much to offer for a birthday gift, Makerere University students of Performing arts and Films, surprised Ruto, when they sang him a happy birthday song, which left him all smiles.
The singing went on for minutes as Ruto, who was in the company of different officials from Kenya, looked on in surprise.
After his speech, on the importance of the William Ruto Leadership Institute at Makerere University, the Deputy President grabbed a knife and it was time for him to cut the cake, which he served those in attendance, one by one, as they wished him a happy Birthday.
