Tuberculosis fight gets sh1.5b boost

Apparently, the current status has it that 80,000 Ugandans die of Tuberculosis annually because many people are not aware of the symptoms of the disease.

After being appointed, singer Moses Ssali has received a grant of close to $400,000 (about sh1.5b) to help him in duties of TB Partnership and raising awareness about the deeply rooted disease in the TB REACH initiative at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.


Apparently, the current status has it that 80,000 Ugandans die of Tuberculosis annually because many people are not aware of the symptoms of the disease and perhaps think of getting screened when it's too late, yet it's a treatable disease in all government health facilities freely.

Bebe Cool under his Amber Heart Foundation last year donated over sh60,000,000 from earnings of his Concert towards facilitating treatment of children with heart defects.

The Amber Heart Foundation triumph has over 600 applications that had to been chosen from all over the world.

The TB REACH initiative is funded by the government of Canada and the Bill Gates Foundation.
