Mongers coach Kigongo Ssebalamu says the fixture has always been a grudge game

Nile Stout Premier Rugby League

Buffaloes v Mongers

Warriors v Impis

Rhinos v Pirates

Hippos v Rams

The Nile Stout Premier Rugby League continues today with four games at various venues. Jinja Hippos host Rams in Jinja, Warriors play Makerere Impis at Kings Park in Bweyogerere, Shell Rimula Rhinos face Stanbic Bank Pirates while Toyota Buffaloes take on Plascon Mongers at Kyadondo in a highly billed game.

Mongers coach Kigongo Ssebalamu said that their fixture against Buffaloes has always been a grudge game and he expects the trend to continue today.

"We know they will be out to avenge the 18-12 defeat they suffered against us in the Uganda Cup, but we are ready for them and focused," Ssebalamu said.

Youth and experience

"All my experienced players- Andrew Olweny, Joseph Tamale, Paul Angana, Erukaana Wako, Joachim Kisano, Elijah Ssegawa and the youngsters have to start the season with a win."

However, Buffaloes tactician Edgar Lamerigar is optimistic he has addressed the key areas of concern and his charges will be out for a win on home turf.

In the other game of the day, Rhinos host Pirates at the Kings Park Ground in another mouth-watering fixture.

Pirates who missed the trophy last season despite sweeping the 2017 season are targeting this year's league title.
