The inaugural Roast and Rhyme event was held in June 2016, while the second edition was held four months later.

In 2016 a new event hit Uganda's social calendar. Three years later Roast and Rhyme, promoted as a family day out by the lake still draws the crowds to its promise of roast meat eaten to the entertaining sound of live music.

The inaugural Roast and Rhyme event was held in June 2016, while the second edition was held four months later. Reggae Nyam Nyam was held in February 2017, as the third edition of the quarterly event. The fourth was dubbed the thanksgiving edition on October 27, 2019. The fifth edition was on Sunday, November 2, 2017.
