On Saturday, Ismail Bazanye, a coach of Nkumba Handball team officiated the game between Prisons Lady Spears and Ndejje in which Ndejje lost 28-27.

Ndejje players faulted the league organisers for appointing a coach from a rival for the title as a referee.

"Nkumba has been leading us by one point. You cannot appoint their coach to officiate our game against Prisons because he will be biased," irritated Ndejje players said.

The results kept Nkumba on top of the table with 19 points, three ahead of Ndejje who have 16 points.

In the other games played, Nkumba defeated Kyengeza 24-17; Kawanda beat UPDF 33-29, while Police thrashed Makerere 42-10 in the women league.

Meanwhile, in the men's League, Makerere defeated Kyambogo 28-21 in a game played for 10 minutes.

This game had been postponed the previous Saturday due to poor visibility 10 minutes to the end with Makerere leading 25-17.
